The Menendez brothers were given life sentences for gunning down their own parents. Now they’re hoping new evidence could reopen the case. “48 Hours” contributor Natalie Morales reports. | CASE UPDATE: On Feb. 21, 2025, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman filed a response to the Menendez brothers’ habeas petition urging a judge to deny it. It is unclear when a ruling will be made in the case. The brothers are also pursuing clemency and resentencing.
